  • We are looking for an arborist administrator to help with the administration and basic supervision of high-end residential and commercial tree care work.

    Assist with the creation of tree care department estimates for new work, analyzing contracts for ongoing maintenance, and billing when work is completed.

    Assist with the creation and updating of tree care reports, tree care assessments, and tree care pruning schedules.

    Assist with the scheduling, coordination, and basic supervision of tree care services, projects and crews, including disseminating management instructions to crews and ensuring tasks are completed.

    Help to track that work is completed on time and on budget, or that clients are notified if time or scope will exceed budgets. Includes the issuing of any change orders.

    Ensure safe working conditions to ANSI Z133 and OSHA standards. Stay aware of best work practices to develop and recommend improved work methods and standards when possible.

    Perform regular site visits for current assignments noting progress and areas of concern.


    Monitor assigned properties to ensure that the conditions of areas, which Whitmores is responsible for, are meeting or exceeding the standards of the industry, the Company, and the Client. Tree care areas include newly planted trees, mature trees, shrubs, orchards, hedges, environmentally protected vegetation & water management areas within the landscape.

    Monitoring will always include tree care areas which are the responsibility of Whitmores, but from time to time may also include turf and lawn areas, soil, shrub borders, hardscape areas including gravel paths/patios/parking areas, plant health including pests/disease, garden care, fence/gates/garbage enclosures, outdoor lighting, irrigation systems, and more, in order to assist and support Whitmores general maintenance goals.

    Provide strong customer service.

    Represent the Company at meetings with owners, architects, designers, client representatives, contractors, and others.

    Communicate and collaborate as necessary with all parties internal and external of Whitmores maintenance departments to produce the best product for our clients. This includes all contractors, representatives and third parties involved with that particular client.

    Report directly to the manager of the tree care department.

    Qualifications:

    Self-motivated, detail oriented, and energetic professional who does not mind a broad range of differing responsibilities.

    Must be able to physically meet the demands of the job, including being able to work outdoors in most weather conditions.

    Excellent verbal and written communication. (Bilingual favored but not required)

  • Currently, we are looking for help in the Tree Care Division. Your responsibilities will include:

    Supervises a tree crew, including setting up and maintaining a safe and secure job site, as well as maintaining equipment and performing preventative maintenance
    Performs tree services such as tree removal, tree pruning and tree trimming, cleans up debris
    Pruning according to ANSI A3000 standards
    Tree climbing and bucket work
    Correctly and safely lowers branches down by using a series of ropes and knots

    Qualifications:

    Experience in safe usage of tree care equipment (chainsaw, chipper, bucket truck, hand saw, front end loader, pole saw etc.)
    Must have field experience in safe pruning and removal of trees
    Must have experience in safely climbing, rigging and working from bucket trucks
    Able to correctly set up work zone according to state and federal regulations (including PPE)
    Ability to work independently and in a group
    Knowledge of local tree species and growing habits (preferred)

  • As our Tree Care Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for learning and assisting with the management of the tree care daily operations, team, clients, and equipment. You will collaborate with homeowners, contractors, designers, landscape architects and industry professionals on projects ranging from routine plant pruning to large tree removals. You will work directly with and report to the Tree Care Manager.

    Department Services: Tree consulting & care plans, plant inventorying, cabling & bracing, emergency tree services, hazard assessments, insect and disease diagnosis, lightning protection, plant analysis & diagnostics, pruning, and tree & shrub removals.

    Regular Responsibilities:
    Manage the tree care staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and general supervising

  • We are currently looking for an Irrigation Technician to design, install and maintain residential and commercial irrigation systems. Your responsibilities will include:

    Operate power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain and repair irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc.
    Check system(s) for proper operation and timing
    Be able to identify areas of concern in current systems and recommend corrective steps
    Perform seasonal maintenance such as system charging and draining, and seasonal monitoring

    As a Construction Project Manager you will work closely with the Construction Department Manager to plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise masonry construction projects from start to finish. You will collaborate with industry leaders in architecture and design, high-net-worth homeowners, high-end contractors, industry professionals, and skilled craftsmen to successfully execute projects.

    Whitmores Masonry specializes in complex residential masonry using innovative techniques, materials, and historical and landmark stone restoration.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare estimates and contracts under the direction of the Department Manager, including determining labor requirements, sourcing materials, engaging subcontractors, and other research or information gathering

    Assist with value engineering by giving recommendations to reduce cost, improve materials or technique, and increase the functionality or lifespan of an installation

    Attend design and project meetings during all construction phases

    Interpret and explain plans to internal support staff, subcontractors, and clients

    Assign and coordinate subcontractors. Includes solicitation, negotiation, selection and contracting of subcontractors

    Schedule the project in logical steps and ensure it meets deadlines. Some coordination with other contractors on job site may be necessary

All estimates, contracts, reports, and invoices must be reviewed and approved by the Construction Manager prior to submission to the office or client.

    Some job ticket creation and review may be required for in-house masonry staff
