It’s Labor Day weekend in the Hamptons so we’re sure your schedule is booked (or you’re just planning on spending a relaxing weekend at home). But should you need a few last minute ideas here are a few local events to keep you busy:


The Hampton Classic: an annual horse show in Bridgehampton for equestrians and horse lovers. The classic is also known for it’s pop-up shopping and kids area that’s packed with games, crafts and a petting zoo!

When: Ends Sunday September 1st. Hours are daily from 9am until 5pm



Snapping Turtles Prehistoric Monster Hunt: Take an educational nature walk with South Fork Natural History Museum to search for snapping turtles and other indigenous turtles.

When: Saturday, August 31st at 10am



Long Island Botanical Society Field Walk: Educational field walk to explore and find various plants living around ponds.

When: Saturday, August 31st at 10am



67th Annual Shinnecock Indian Powwow: With over 100 tribes represented and events including music and dance performances, food and native arts and crafts this is always a wonderful experience.

When: Friday, August 30th until Monday, September 2nd.  Begins at 3pm on Friday, and 10am Saturday-Monday
