This weekend was full of landscape-centric events. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we spent with the Parrish Art Museum attending their excellent event series for the Landscape Pleasures program. For us the highlight was the lecture with speakers Cole Burrell and Janice Parker.
Cole Burrell, landscape designer, photographer, and lecturer, spoke about a variety of landscape design topics including his specialty, native plants.
Landscape Architect Janice Parker displayed a number of her projects and stressed the importance of the winter landscape in the Northeast and the use of multi-season plants.
Sunday, in-between viewing the gardens of Parrish’s Garden Tour, we squeezed in a brunch held by the Guild Hall at the Amagansett home of Lucy Cookson. The brunch was a kickoff to this year’s Garden as Art event, with the theme of Garden to Table.
